Paleo diet is a diet which can be eaten in a healthy way as it is the only nutritional approach that works at the genetic level helping you stay strong, lean and energetic. In the paleo diet, ideally, you should eat more of a protein-rich food that is derived from the animal sources. Fruits and vegetables should also be included in the diet as they are rich in Antioxidants, Vitamins & Minerals and Phytonutrients which help in decreasing various health problems like diabetes, cancer, and neurological disorders.

As a comparison to other diets, the paleo diet has shown the best results as it helps in improving blood lipid profile, quality of sleep and maintains the blood sugar level. Generally, in this diet, we cut off the consumption of grains, legumes, and dairy but on the other side increase the consumption of Vitamins, Minerals, and Antioxidants. All we must do is that follow some easy ancestral ways to get more benefits of the paleo diet.

Less Fat More Muscle

The paleo diet consists more of animal flesh, which in turn is a healthy protein. Protein is an important nutrient for building up of muscles. More the muscle mass, better will be the metabolism. Muscle requires more energy to move in and out. The bigger muscles in the body send more energy to muscle cells than fat cells. Muscle mass is an important factor which can ensure better BMR.

Better Gut Health

Sugary food items and processed food items always disturb the intestinal tract. When under stress, people generally end up eating all processed and junk food which results in a leaky gut syndrome. In contrast, it is important to keep our food in the digestive tract until it’s transported to the cells.

Limit the Intake of Fructose

The digestion of fructose is a little different from the digestion of carbs. For example, eating kiwi is a better option than eating a banana as it is packed with vitamin C. High consumption of fructose may lead to insulin resistance, obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes.

Weight Loss

Reducing the intake of processed foods (refined grains and sugary drinks) will limit the intake of carbs which aid in weight loss. Limiting the carb intake will automatically decrease the unwanted fat gain which is generally caused by consumption of carbs.

Healthy Brain

The best source of protein and fats proposed by paleo diet is cold water fish like Salmon. Salmon is rich in omega 3 fatty acids as it contains DHA which is good for eyes, heart and majorly for brain functioning and development.

Moreover, the paleo diet can be pricey but it is healthy as 35% of the calories you get from fats, 35% from carbs and 30% from protein. Following a paleo diet means eating a clean diet without additives. So, eat more fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and grass-fed meats for a healthy body.
